Whether the inside is in the quote
Ask it first and ask it flatly. Does this number include interior glass, or is it outside only? Plenty of quotes in this market are exterior only, and the homeowner finds out on the morning of the job when somebody mentions that insides would be extra. That is not necessarily dishonesty. Exterior-only is a legitimate way to sell the work. It just has to be said before you agree to a price.
The follow-up matters more than the answer. If interiors are in, how do they get handled? Does protection go down under the window before anything wet comes near it. Do sills get cleared first so grit does not turn to slurry on your paint. Interior work is mostly a question of how careful somebody is inside a house, and it is where the real difference between companies lives.
